We don't store your voice as recordings. Audio is relayed in memory and available for replay for up to 10 seconds after talk ends; we keep no recordings or voice history.
What we collect
- Apple account identifier (for sign-in and group access), and ZeroNow account identifier (also used for usage analytics)
- The display name you choose
- Device identifier and push tokens (to connect and wake your phone)
- Server operation logs and device diagnostics you choose to upload
- Group names, members, invites, blocks and reports
- Your group: group names, who is in the group, invites, blocks, and the reports you send (the reason and an optional note)
- Technical logs on our server: account ID, device ID, and connection and delivery events, so that talk keeps arriving
Audio is used only for live talk; we do not keep recordings. The camera is used only to scan invite QR codes; images are never saved or uploaded. We use account-linked usage data to calculate aggregate numbers such as daily active users and retention after one week, only to improve the product, without profiling individuals, selling data or using it for advertising.
We do not use your data for advertising or tracking, and we do not sell it.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account
- To deliver what you say to the right phones, including waking a locked phone
- To show your group who is talking, who can hear you and who is available
- To look into reports of abuse and find out why talk did not arrive
Who can see it
- People in your group see your display name and whether you are online or available.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple and delivers push notifications.
- Cloudflare carries traffic to our server, so it sees your IP address. Our server uses IP addresses only in memory to limit abuse and does not store them.
- Reports, and summaries of the diagnostic logs you upload, are sent to our team through a private Telegram alert group.
How long we keep it
- Account, device and group data: for as long as your account exists.
- Diagnostic logs you upload: 30 days.
- Server operation logs help investigate connection and delivery failures. They currently have no fixed retention period and may contain account and device identifiers.
- When you delete your account, we immediately delete your devices and push tokens, your sign-in sessions, your uploaded diagnostic logs and your blocks, take you out of your group, cancel the invites you created, and replace your name with "Deleted user". The anonymized account record and the reports that involve you are erased 30 days later.
Delete your account
In ZeroNow, go to Settings > Delete account. You confirm with Apple, and we also revoke the Sign in with Apple authorization for ZeroNow.
